Dog Comets AstroTug

Dog Comets AstroTug is a ball-and-rope toy built around a 6 cm TPR rubber ball attached to a recycled-cotton rope. The design gives the toy one form for throwing and another for tugging, with an unpredictable bounce that changes how the ball moves in play.

A simple ball-and-rope design

Dog Comets AstroTug pairs a 6 cm ball with an attached rope, giving the toy a clear two-part construction that suits throwing, carrying, and tugging play.

The ball is made from TPR rubber and the rope from recycled cotton, so the toy’s touch points are defined by those two materials rather than by a single molded shape.

How the play changes by game mode

If you want a toy that can move between fetch and tug, this one is set up for both. The ball’s unpredictable bounce also changes how it travels when thrown, adding variety to the retrieve.

The same build is also listed for indoor and outdoor play, so the core decision is less about changing the toy and more about choosing the color configuration you want.

Questions

Is this better for fetch or tug?

This toy is built for both fetch and tug. The ball-and-rope construction supports throwing and retrieving, while the attached rope adds a grab point for tug games.

What does the configuration choice mean?

Choosing a configuration changes the color option only. The play structure stays the same: a ball attached to a rope, with the ball made from TPR rubber and the rope made from recycled cotton.
